It is constructed of 100% hardwood, and features a heavy-duty adjustable raising mechanism, which allows for an adjustable height of 18" to 22 1/2". The artist bench has spade legs, which have rubber bumpers on the bottom to protect your floor from damage. The piano bench is available in black satin, black high polish, walnut and mahogany.

One of the great draws of this piano bench is its comfort. The bench uses an extra-thick cushion, which is very soft. Furthermore, the artist bench uses furniture grade vinyl, and is hand tufted with 10 buttons, adding style and durability (tufted buttons provide structure and stability to an upholstered top, and a tufted top will hold up better and last longer that a simple flat top).

An advantage to this adjustable piano bench is its wide adjustment range. Typical artist benches adjust from 18" to 20" or 21"; this bench adjusts up to 22.5" in height. Thus, this bench is a good solution if you need an extra inch or two in height.

Our Adjustable Piano Bench Review:

We find this adjustable bench to be the best imported piano bench we've seen. While still not at the quality level of the American made Jansen Artist bench, in the $300-$700 price range, this is the number one bench on the market in our opinion, and we've seen nearly all that are available. In comparison to the other imports, it offers an extra thick and plush cushion, it is a larger bench in terms of it's dimensions, and above all it's a well constructed and attractive piano bench. Additionally, this is a "true artist bench," meaning it has the "skirt" that hides the adjustment mechanism when the bench is raised. If you look below the wooden knobs on the piano bench, there is a few extra inches of the upholstered top. This covers the gap between the top of the wooden frame and the bottom of the upholstered top when the bench is raised--hiding the mechanism arms. A popular option that improves the aesthetics of the bench.
